3.11.13 … crunch, crunch, crunch …

“Solvitur Ambulando” – It is solved by walking, 2013 Lenten walks, Wedgwood Church:

I’m doing a quickie … John is back from Kuwait and we are headed to Atlanta.  It’s 75° at 3:45 PM … hello, spring!
I am sharing the labyrinth with an older woman attending training at the  Charlotte Spirituality Center.

As noted before when walking Wedgwood Church, the path itself is distracting both because it is laborious, even painful, to walk the pebble path and so noisy.  Crunch, crunch, crunch. The cars are noisy, too; the birds are chirping;  the trees are budding.
Readings from Malcolm Muggeridge’s Jesus at  ChristCare today included the following:
He set a window in the tiny dark dungeon of the ego in which we all languish, letting in a light, providing a vista, and offering a way of release from the servitude of the flesh and the fury of the will into what St. Paul called the glorious liberty of the children of God.
Not to dwell on the negative, but the pebbles that make up the path, really are distracting and even painful (if one gets lodged in a shoe.)
Crunch, crunch, crunch …
