“Solvitur Ambulando” – It is solved by walking, 2013 Lenten labyrinth walks, South Tryon Community Church:
I keep waiting for them to “redo” this labyrinth. It has been mowed since my last visit, but no one has weeded it or returned the brick boundary markers to their proper place. So after several false starts, I pulled up the Chartres pattern on my phone.
But still I stumbled, got muddy and mosquito bit. There was a lesson there, somewhere.
For the first time in a long time the church’s groundskeeper, Rabbit, did not appear. I really appreciate his presence, so he was missed.
By the end, I was calm but resolved to become a labyrinth keeper a seek others.
