9.4.13 … BINGO … and remembering my dad …

BINGO, Lenbrook:   A while back I shared a WSJ article (4.10.13 … So I’m hip now!!! B-I-N-G-O!) that stated that “Bingo is the latest old-school pastime enjoying a resurgence among young people, along with knitting, bowling and euchre.”  Unfortunately our pool of participants at Lenbrook is getting smaller and smaller.  I think everyone should join their parent or parents on Wednesday evening at least once a month.  My sister, daughter and I have loved the opportunity to get to know my mother’s friends.  It’s kinda corny but it is really fun.  (Oh and we, the Lindsey girls, won $10.50 net.)

Bones Steakhouse, kith/kin:  I also love going back to in time.  Taking my mom to Bones, his favorite steakhouse, for lunch in memory of my dad on his birthday was a nice  way to remember the him on his day.
