9.25.13 … then I walk out and start my life again …

Atlanta,  labyrinths,  A circular journey into one’s soul,  Ben Smith, SaportaReport:  This is a great article about labyrinths and gives me some words to explain my walking in circles to others.  Thanks, Ben Smith, author of the blogpost, and Linda Claire Snyder and John Rhodes, Atlanta leaders in the movement.

The emblem of a winding path bound by a circle caught the attention of the convenience store clerk. “It’s a maze,” she said, smiling and pointing at my T-shirt.

“No, it’s actually a labyrinth,” I replied. “It’s sort of like a maze.”

“What’s the difference?” she asked.

I paused. How could I explain the power of what looked to others like walking in circles? How could I sum up my spiritual and meditative exercise for more than a decade?
