1.17.14 … Every step, every breath, a prayer …

prayer, walking meditation, labyrinths:  Just ran across this link today.  I enjoyed the article … Every step, every breath, a prayer.

Every step, every breath, a prayer.

Walking meditation has a long history in various religious traditions, from Christian labyrinths to the Zen Buddhist kinhin, a practice that means, literally, “walking the talk.”

Isn’t it nice that there are no ads, creepy or otherwise, while watching Downton Abbey? Can’t wait for 9 pm.

So, Old Spice has a new ad. It features moms singing about being sad their sons are growing up.

West Virginia 60-mile-long chemical cloud, WSJ.com:

Officials in Kentucky and Ohio prepare for the arrival of a slow-moving, 60-mile-long chemical cloud, which contaminated the drinking water of 300,000 people in West Virginia. “They could smell it in the air,” said one official. http://on.wsj.com/1dneTna

The Ohio River Valley Water Sanitation Commission, a multistate agency based in Cincinnati that coordinates with states along the river to control, limit and monitor pollution, has been on high alert since the spill and is coordinating with state agencies and the U.S. Coast Guard to keep testing water quality, Mr. Schulte said.

Scientists at the Louisville Water Company do not think the chemical will be any kind of health risk when it reaches the area, sometime Friday morning, said company spokeswoman Kelley Dearing-Smith.

The number of lawsuits filed by businesses and residents affected by the water ban is growing. More than a dozen lawsuits had been filed in state court as of Monday morning, mostly seeking compensation from Freedom Industries for lost revenue and wages.
