11.28.21 … Blessings this Advent Season! This week we focus on HOPE …

“Solvitur Ambulando” – It is solved by walking, 2021 Advent Labyrinth Walks, 2021 Labyrinth Walks, Finger labyrinth @ home – Charlotte NC:

I started my advent season off by watching my church on TV and cleaning my house.

I had planned to get out my advent decorations: my two Advent wreaths, my nativity set and a collection of Advent books. And I fully planned to do a walk at one of my favorite locations. But the day got ahead of me, so I settled for a finger labyrinth walk and some research.

Interesting that I found a labyrinth self care meditation Advent “calendar” …

Self care advent calendar with Labyrinth | Shop Handmade

“Self care advent calendar with snowflake finger labyrinth for meditation. Wellbeing at Christmas time. Relaxation. Letterbox friendly.
If you find the Christmas season hard or overwhelming this advent calendar is perfect for you.

It includes 25 cards with self care tips for each day specific to the season. Plus it contains a gorgeous bamboo snowflake finger labyrinth and stand to help you find your calm in December.

Finger labyrinths are often used for prayer or contemplation. They’re also amazing as a meditation tool. Easy to use you simply trace the path with your finger or a pointer. Unlike mazes, labyrinths have no wrong turns to trick you just one path to lead you so you can relax into the journey.

The calendar and stand will be posted flat to make it letterbox friendly but then you simply slot the base together and your set. It measures 11 cm deep, 12.5cm wide (with the labyrinth- the base itself is 9cm wide) and approximately 16cm tall.”

I think I can make my own!

Blessings this Advent Season! This week we focus on HOPE.

11.14.21 … it was a perfect fall day …

“Solvitur Ambulando” – It is solved by walking, MorningStar Lutheran Chapel – Mint Hill NC, 2021 Labyrinth Walks:

It has been one of the most beautiful fall days ever.
I came to the MorningStar labyrinth because I knew it would be perfect. And it was.

There was a beautiful tree right as I entered the garden. And the sun was shining on it perfectly.

The fountain was running and i had the labyrinth to myself…

The chimes were ringing, a friendly sound.

It was 52° and a bright sunny day. Not a cloud in the sky. Actually, I was a little cool. I wished I had had a sweater on. But I did not complain

I have lots of thoughts in my head…Mostly around gratitude and Thanksgiving.

Rarely do I power walk a labyrinth, but I did today, probably because I was cool, cold actually, but also because I have been energized today.

Albert was a bit whiny. But I think he enjoyed getting out with me.
